Overview
The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor appears throughout the platform wherever rich text content is supported β event descriptions, content blocks, articles, and more. It provides a toolbar of formatting options that let you create styled content without writing HTML.Text Formatting
The editor supports standard text formatting options:| Tool | Description |

Text Alignment
Text can be aligned using the alignment tool:- Left (default)
- Centre
- Right
- Justify
Links
Adding a Link
- Select the text you want to link
- Click Add link in the toolbar
- Enter the URL
- Choose whether to open in the same tab or a new tab
- Confirm
Internal Links
Some editors support linking to internal platform resources such as events, pages, and articles. When available, the link dialog shows options to search for and select internal content instead of entering a URL manually.Updating or Removing a Link
Click on an existing link to open the link editor. From there you can update the URL, change the target, or remove the link entirely.Images
Uploading an Image
- Click Image in the toolbar
- Choose to upload a file or enter an image URL
- Add alt text describing the image (for accessibility)
- The image is inserted into the content
- Accepted formats: PNG, JPG
- Maximum file size: 2 MB
- Maximum dimensions: 2100 x 2100 pixels
Resizing Images
After inserting an image, you can resize it using the width slider that appears when the image is selected. The slider allows widths between 120 and 1,200 pixels.Video Embeds
To embed a video:- Click Embed in the toolbar
- Paste the video URL
Tables
Creating a Table
Click Add table in the toolbar to insert a table with default rows and columns.Table Operations
Once a table exists, additional toolbar buttons appear for managing it:| Action | Description |

Paste Tool
When pasting content from external sources (such as Word documents or web pages), formatting can carry over in unexpected ways. The Paste tool provides a cleanup interface:- Click Paste tool in the toolbar
- Paste your content into the text area
- Configure cleanup settings:
- Discard list styles β removes list formatting
- Remove <style> tags β strips embedded CSS
- Attributes to be removed β specify HTML attributes to strip
- Preview the cleaned result
- Click Insert text to add the cleaned content to your editor
Source Editing
Click Edit source to switch to the raw HTML view. This allows you to directly edit the underlying HTML code. Click the button again to return to the visual editor.Source editing is intended for advanced users. Invalid HTML may cause display issues in the visual editor.
Undo and Redo
Use Undo and Redo in the toolbar to step through your editing history.Character Limits
Content fields have a character limit (typically 65,000 characters). The editor displays a character count indicator that changes colour as you approach the limit:- Grey β under 90% of the limit
- Yellow β between 90% and 100%
- Red β over the limit
Not all toolbar actions are available on every page. Some editors disable or hide certain tools depending on context. A tooltip explains when an action is unavailable: This action is not available on this page.
